What is ISMP?

International Student Mentorship Program (ISMP) at UC Davis is a team of volunteer alumni mentors from the United States. We provide mentorship to international students, helping them navigate through their college years here at UC Davis!

Studying in America is new and different, which can bring different kinds of challenges…but you don’t have to do it alone! We are a dedicated group of mentors here to help you through life and education in America.

What do we offer?

  • Whether you simply want someone to talk with or you want more in depth skills such as common idioms, we are here for you!

  • Looking for jobs or internships? Receive personalized advice and tips on your resume and/or the job application process.

  • Need help getting things done? Talk to a mentor for tips and learn from their experience to help you succeed.

  • There are many challenges moving to a new country. This is a space for your questions to be answered, and to receive support and guidance.

  • Life and school can be stressful. Develop healthy habits and balance in caring for your mind, body and soul.

  • Once to twice a quarter we are looking to offer helpful workshops on relevant topics to you! These are also opportunities to connect to ISMP mentors and other international student at UC Davis.
