Experience American culture in Japan! Every month or two, ACE visits Japan for about a week to host American cultural events, including holiday parties (Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.), American-style dinners featuring hamburgers and tacos, and sports like American football and basketball.

If you are traveling to America, the Homestay Program can connect you an ISMP mentor who will be your host family. They will host you in their home for one week for FREE, show you the best spots in their city, and teach you American culture!
What is American Culture Exchange?
American Culture Exchange (ACE) in Tokyo, Japan is a nonprofit Christian organization established by college graduate mentors from the United States.
We provide mentorship for Japanese college students interested in studying or experiencing American culture. Studies show that America and Japan are often on opposite sides of the cultural spectrum. We aim to bridge that gap because we believe that meaningful cross-cultural connections can transform lives. That’s why ACE also provides cultural exchange events, homestay programs, and more. We also partner with Story House to provide opportunities to practice English and learn about the Bible.
